Overall, the category that recorded that highest number of expenditures, across all five countries, is food, drinks and tobacco, followed by clothes and shoes and pastime and education. In addition, Turkish and Irish consumers were the biggest spenders on food /drinks / tobacco, respectively with 32. 14% and 28. 91%. On the contrary, Sweden and Italy spent only a modest 16. 36% and 15. 77% on the same category. Furthermore, Italy and Turkey represented the highest consumers for clothing and footwear (9. 00% and 6. 63%), even though Spain, Ireland and Sweden also spent around 6-5%. Finally, Turkish people’s expenditures on leisure and education was 4. 35%, followed by Sweden and Italy, both around 3. 20%. At the bottom, there were Ireland and Spain with 2. 21% and 1. 98%, therefore around the half of the Turkish expenses on the same item.
