Overall, Nokia had the highest market share in 2005 and 2006 while BenQ Mobile had the lowest market in the same peroid time. In 2005 and 2006, Nokia was the leader in the gobal mobile phone market. This market share increased from 32. 5% to 35%. Motorola had the second highest market share accounted for 17. 7% in 2005 and in 2006 market share of Motorola increased over 4%. Although Samsung ranked the third of the list but their market share of phone in the world decreased 0. 9 pecent (from 12. 7% in 2005 to 11. 8% in 2006). On the other hand, both Sony Ericsson and LG had more than 6% market share in 2005. In 2006 Sony Ericsson market share increased slightly 1. 1% while LG decreased. BenQ Mobile had the lowest market share of the phone dropped down more than half from 4. 9% to 2. 4%. Other mobile phone manufactures accounted for 19. 2% of market share in 2005. However, the other brands dropped by 3% in 2006.
