The table below shows the percentage use of four different fuel types to generate electricity in five Asian countries in 2005. jR5xM
This table gives information about four different fuel types and their portion of usage by five Asian countries to produce electricity, in 2005.
Overall, listed countries generate their electricity from Nuclear, Coal-lignite, Petroleum, and Hydro-Wind based and other resources.
From the graph we can see that Japan and South Korea were mostly dependent on nuclear fuel to produce electricity, being 49 and 33 percent respectively, while Thailand did not have any nuclear-based fuels. Furthermore, Malaysia and Singapore were supplying electricity mostly from coal and lignite fuels, as 61 percent in Malaysia and 42 percent in Singapore.
On the other hand, almost all of the countries that have had very less dependency on petroleum products, with the exception of Thailand, were producing 36 percent of their electricity from petroleum-related resources. Finally, South Korea was the first ranking country using Hydro and Wind involved systems in electricity generation, as 48 percent of its electricity were coming from Hydro and wind linked technologies.
