The table below shows the number of people from five European living each other's country in 2011 6KQMB
The table compares the migration flows to and from five EU countries in 2011. In terms of immigration, Germany was the most popular destination, attracting 1198 thousand foreigners, most of whom were from Italy (556, 000) and Poland (426, 000). The UK reported slightly fewer immigrants (1037 thousand), while almost half of migrants entering the UK were Polish. However, Poland was among the remaining countries with much smaller inflows of foreign nationals with only 6000 immigrants. By contrast, the number of Polish emigrants to the other countries was noticeably larger with 1168 thousand, followed by that of emigration population from Italy (just over 863 thousand). Although Britain and Germany had a similar number of emigrants at around 530 thousand, Germans preferred to reside in the UK, compared to Spain for British. The figure for Spain was the lowest with approximately 200 thousand. In summary, Poland and Italy reported more emigration than immigration, whereas the other three EU countries experienced quite the opposite.
