The chart illustrates the proportion of the advantages of the worldwide fishing industry including Annual landings for human consumption, annual catch discarded at sea, annual catch for industrial reduction, fuel used per tonne of fish, the number of fishers employed and the government subsidies of large-scale and small-scale. From the above where it can be overall seen that small-scale recorded the highest number of fishers employed while the counterpart took that of the remaining.
Mentioning the annual landings for human consumption, catch discarded at sea, catch for industrial reduction and fuel used, the percentage of large -scale was remarkably higher than the counterparts in all categories. The number of annual landings for human consumption of small-scale held the highest position at about 27milliom tons which account for nearly half of that of large- scale. Additionally, the rate of annual catch discarded at sea and for dustrial reduction to fishmeal and oil of large-scale took the second and third point at 26 and 10 million respectively. On the contrary, these data of small- scale were almost none. Meanwhile, there was a four-fold in the number of the fuel used of fish for human consumption between large-scale and small-scale, in a range of 5 and 20 tonnes.
Regarding the remaining, the small-scale recorded the highest position in the number of fishers employed at approximately 30 million while that of the opposite at less than nearly 11 million. However, the government subsidies for small- scale at 5 to 7 billion USD which accounted for nearly one-fifth of large-scale at 25 to 30 billion.
