In 1980, most of the square space was a large car park surrounded by two rows of norfork Pine. There was a small garden in the west of these tree and a row combined with restaurants and shops on the eastern side. Additionally, the town hall was in the north of car park whereas the post office stayed in the south-eastern corner.
Regarding the present map, the original car park has been replaced by a mulyi-storey car park and was putted on the north-west corner. All the tree rows has gone to built some new garden seats and a circle area with a fountain and a statue in the middle. The library also has been constructed inside the garden while the shops on the opposite side have remained but mostly cafes and restaurants.
