The pie graphs compare the rate of visit in million in Britain public libraries for different purposes in the year 1991 and 2000. In general, it is clear that percentage of Borrow or return books was maximum in both the years. Moreover, most of these ratios decreased over the period of 10 years with introduction of borrowing and returning videos in 2000. In the year 1991, four category of visits were there. Among them 65% of visitors used library for borrow and return purpose, while other three category used altogether 35% of total. Interest for newspaper or magazine reading was 15%. Visit for study and obtain information were absoulately same, both accounted for 10%. In the second case, five types of visits were there. The trend of borrow or return books was highestin 2000, as it shows 55% of total. Keen to obtain information became doubled to 20%. Despite the rate of people who wanted to study and read newspaper or magazine significantly dropped to 2% and 5% respectively. On the top of it, borrowing or returning videos was new interest purpose to visit public library and it was accounted for 18%.
