At present, there are two shops in between the main road and some housing below the shops and near the school, but during the planned development, the town will see several significant changes. The most noticeable will that a dual carriageway that will surround all the commercial buildings to be constructed in the center. The shops will be replaced by a bus station, a shopping center, a carpark, and new housing. After that, the main road will become a pedestrian road. In contrast, the shops and two housing below the main road will be unchanged. The Park, which is located on the eastern side of the center will become smaller in size. Then new hosing will be built next to the park. Towards the school in the southwestern side of Islip which will have some minor changes in the future.
