The two pie charts show the result of a survey in which male and female teeanagers from Peru were asked about their preferred activities in their free time. The question referred to differences between girls and boys when they use free time for hobbies. Participants mentioned five activities in their answers: watching TV, using the Internet, meeting friends, playing sport and reading.
In common, both teenagers were interested in using the Internet (with a third for boys and a quarter for girls) and meeting friends ( about one-third for girls and a fifth for boys). From the pie charts, it is obvious that the most popular activities which boys spent time on is using the Internet while the girls chose to spend most time on meeting friends. Boys also used to play sport, with 25 percent, while girls just voted with the lowest rate for playing sport, only 5 percent. All of them liked watching TV about the same proportion with 20 percent for girls and 5 percent less for boys. It is easy to realize that not many boys wanted to read because it was just 10 percent for boys but girls may prefer reading than boys with 5 percent higher for reading.
