The pie charts below shows the main reasons why agricultural land becomes less productive. The table shows how these causes affected three regions of the world during the 1990s.

The two illustrations provide the reasons behind the land degradation in year 1990s. The figures shows the global negative effect why land for agriculture become unproductive. While the information given in the data deficits the problem in each three regions namely: North America, Europe and Oceania which causes the land to be useless. Overall, the main dilemma compromise the over-gazing while the region mostly affected mainly is the Europe. Global destruction of productive land for agriculture causes variety of reasons, this includes over-gazing occupying almost 1/3 of the land at about 35% while deforestation is 30% and 1/4 goes to over-cultivation. There are there major continents that are affecting the problem in land degradation these are North America, Europe, and Oceania which is the huge group of island located in the South Pacific. The highest percentage of deforestation and over-cultivation was found in Europe. Meanwhile problem in over-gazing raise mainly in Oceania of 11. 3%. It is noticeable that North America compromise the smallest percentage in that total land degradation of about 5%. Next to it is Oceania of 13% and the most affected region is the Europe of 23% among the three regions.
