The pie chart below shows the main reason why agricultural land becomes less productive. The table show how these causes affected three regions of the world during the 1990’s.

The pie chart demonstrates the major reasons that farmland becomes less productive as well as the table illustrates three distinct regions were influenced by three cause at 1990s period. Over-grazing account the biggest proportion in total, 35% exactly. Beside, the percentage of deforestation and over-cultivation are similar, 30% and 28%, individually. But, the lowest part that is the other degradation. The speed of deforestation of North America was the slowest (0. 2%) while in Europe is was the fastest (9. 8%). Similarly, the fastest degradation of over-cultivation happened in Europe too(7. 7%). Surprisingly, this figure was no change in Oceania. Although there was no significant trend in Oceania in previous sectors, the amount of degradation was the highest in over-grazing, 11. 3%, much higher than other two regions. In contrast, North America was the slowest 1. 5% only. Overall, over-grazing is the biggest problem to cause land degradation and other reason is the least. Europe is the highest region that suffer total degraded, but North America is the lowest.
