The three pie charts describes the proportion of money spent on music for various years in Northern Ireland. Music Lovers preferred to enjoy music through listening to CDs, attending concerts, downloading digitally and through other sources. These pictorial diagrams clearly depicted the change in trend from CDs to Digital downloads on the following years: 2005, 2008 and 2011. In 2005, CDs were considered to be the most popularly sold music source contributing 61% of sales, while this percentage had gradually reduced to 41% within next 3 years (2008) and decreased furthermore to 26% in 2011. Across the same three-year period, a spike in number of people purchasing music through digital downloads has been increased drastically from 6% (2005) to 25% (2008), and increased to 43% in 2011. And the digital sources became the highest contributor of music expenditure by 2011. Additionally, concerts became the second significant way of money of distribution but the values went down from 31% to 23% in 2005 and marked up to 28% back in 2011. Interestingly, the total amount spent on other sources are constant sharing less than 2% to 3% in all these three years. In conclusion, these pie pictograms clearly showed the gradual fall down of the CD sales and the growth of digital music content sales.
