The two maps compare information about the growth of Islip town center in plan. Overall, it is significant that Islip will become a more bustling town with the appearance of new housing. Another striking change is that the main road will be demolished to make way for a dual carriageway which surrounds all the town. To begin, a road reserved for pedestrians will be constructed in the middle of the town where next to one row of stores. In the north of the town, old shops will be replaced by a shopping center. A bus station and car park will be also built opposite the sidewalk. The countryside will be moved to the other side of the road. If we look at the South of the town, a carriageway will be introduced linking school to housing. The park in the Southeast will be reduced give sit to new housing.
