The maps compare two underground systems for cars in two Australian cities. One was built from 1986 to 1998, while the other one was constructed between 2002 and 2006. Overall, people invested 555 million dollars in building the first tunnel, compared to 1. 1 billion dollars for the second one. Therefore, the first tunnel had smaller measures for the height, length, and space compared to the second one. Looking at the details, there were significant differences. The first tunnel was located under the bridge, and there was a layer of sand and water above it. Meanwhile, the second one was under the main road, and there was a stone and clay layer on it. As can be seen, the first tunnel had a small space for cars, compared to the other one. To be more specific, there were four road lanes in the first tunnel and six road lanes in the second. Also, the first tunnel had a shorter length (1. 5 meters) than the second one (2. 5 meters). Finally, the depth from the surface to the bottom of the second tunnel was shorter than the first one with 1. 5 and 2. 5 respectively.
