The maps below shows the town of Lynnfield in 1936 and then later in 2007.

The two maps detail the development of Lynnfield over a period of 71 years starting from 1936. looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that there were a number of notable changes to the buildings and facilities. According to the maps, at the northwest of the town, the number of trees has been decreased and at the northeast of the map, the river had largely disappeared and replaced by a residential area. At the south of the city, the cycle path at the west has become a road for cars and at the opposite side of the town, government offices and farmland have been converted into museums and golf courses respectively. In terms of the center of the city, a huge shopping center was built exactly in the middle of the facility area between the bank and supermarket. sweet shop and butchers at the north of the facility zone have been demolished in order to make room for a big supermarket also flower shop in the southeast of this region has been destroyed and replaced by a travel agent. Finally, the post office, bank, and library remained unchanged during this period.
