These maps depict the development which occurred in Stokeford village from 1930 to 2010. It is clear from the graph that the village had an increase in its residential capacity through rapid house construction. According to what is shown, the eastern part of Stokeford had developed entirely. Near the bridge, the farmland was diminished and new houses were built across an extension of the main road. Just below that, the primary school was extended making it almost the double of its size in 1930. While a part of the gardens was converted to another extension of the road alongside with additional rows of residential units, the left-over was utilized for altering the large house into a larger retirement home complex. On the western area of the main road, the shops in 1930 had turned into a more residential area. While the post office remained untouched, the southern farmland was replaced with a square bordered by newly constructed housing units. To sum up, we could say that the although many changes took place in the village, the bridge and River Stoke wasnot changed and the other side of the river remained empty.
