In general, the area used to be very green but it has become more industrialised over the years. One interesting change is that a new train station has been built in the west side of the city centre. However, in 2002, there was not any train station in the town. The whole city has experienced a significant modernization that green fields in the north and south of the city have been cut down and replaced by new apartments and football stadium. A notable change has been the conversion of the old cinema into a pub. It has been paid attention to the environment of the town. Therefore, the factory has been knocked down to make way for a software company. The shopping centre which is situated in the north of the city centre has not been any changes over the period.
