Some people prefer money over time, while others choose to have more free time and a small amount of money. While having more money might make people more satisfied, I believe that free time is necessary in people’s life because human’s body needs some rest in order to remain healthy. On the one hand, often less free time means more working, therefore, a higher income. This higher income makes some people feel fulfilled, which makes them lack leisure time. This is due to the fact that they believe that with this money they can meet their desire and buy whatever they want without taking some free time for themselves. For example, a study conducted by the Times showed that 65% of businessmen prefer to spend their time at workThe line chart reveals the amount of products which are transported in the UK by four various transportation methods from 1974 to 2002. Overall, it is clear that transportation by road is the most common method, while by pipeline is the least favourable. It is also interesting to note that all four categories showed a steady increase, apart from rail, which saw its numbers fluctuated. In the UK, they transported 70 million tonnes of products by road in 1974, the figures continued to rose until 2002 when they transported just under 100 million tonnes of goods. Whereas, pipeline method was not common, in 1974, roughly 10 million tonnes of products were transported and went up to just under 20 million tonnes in 1982 then levelled off until 1992 before reaching 22 million tonnes in 2002. Water and rail methods started at the same amount of products, around 40 million tonnes. After four years, the figures for the former rose to around 60 million tonnes and remained stable until 1998 then in the end of the period 61 million tonnes of good were transported. Contrary to the latter which declined to 30 million tonnes in 1984 then increased to the same point as it started.
