The map given illustrates the development of Ryemouth village from 1995 till present. Overall, it can be observed that the location and existence of the hotel, cafe, sea and highways remained unchanged through the years. However, the large farmland which was located north-east in 1995 was converted to a golf. The forest park which was by the farmland, right in front of the hotel in 1995, was converted. It is currently being used for tennis. The hotel, on the other hand, remained constant since 1995 but a car park was built by its right. Furthermore, the fish market which was situated in front of the sea in 1995, presently exists as apartments and the shop which was opposite the fish market, right across the road was converted to a restaurant. The fishing port was present in the sea in 1995 no longer exists. There is a marked increase in the number of houses presently, as sixteen houses can be identified compared to the twelve which existed in 1995. Also, a new road was constructed and is seen presently, located west, by housing. In contrast, the cafe remained unchanged. It is still situated opposite the hotel, right in front of the sea.
