The map shows the developments which took place at the seaside resort of Templeton from 2000 to 2013. Overall, a comparison of the two maps reveals a change from a largely rural to a mainly urban landscape. In 2000, the town was a much greener residential area with a large number of trees and individual houses, but during the next 13 years, the town experienced a number of dramatic changes. The most noticeable is that all of the southwest sides of the river were cut down with all the houses along the sea being knocked down and replaced by blocks of flats. Moreover, a new industrial estate with factories and supermarkets sprang up around the river. Only a few trees north of the river remained. A number of new skyscrapers were set up around the lake. Further developments were the construction of an airport near the school and a new stretch of railway from the river running directly west. A ferry was also built at the mouth of the sea.
