The pictures demonstrate some changes in Youngsville in New Zealand over a period of 20 years from 1980 to 2005. Overall, it is clear that Youngsville in New Zealand experienced a significant transformation from a rural area into a developed city with industrialization. To the north of Alanah river, many trees around the lake was cut down to make way for a car park, a park and a golf course. While the lake was added with a new function, kayaking, in addition to fishing and swimming, the hospital remained unchanged. In the northwestern area, a big stadium and a parking lot was built in place of the five single houses after 25 years. 2005 experienced the extension of the railway along the sea coast towards the north and a new marina sprang up near the rail bridge. The southeast of the area witnessed the replacement of four houses and trees by two skyscrapers. To the south of Alanah river, the school, airport and parking area still stayed in the same area while a warehouse and several factories emerged around the area.
