The map above illustrates changes taking place in Stokeford over a period of 80 years from 1930. It is clear that the area underwent radical changes. Generally, farmland was reduced to complete non-existence, paving the way for residential areas and social infrastructure, along with the addition of new roads. With regard to private homes, it can be seen that the number of houses erected grew exponentially over the years, especially along the main road which cut the village in half and connected the two ends of the village. The main road also branched off into shorter roads leading to smaller groups of community, which added to the sheer quantity of households then. Plus, it is worth noting that as two more blocks were added to the primary school. The original mansion underwent similar development and was repurposed as a retirement home. While the post office still remained the same, two shops just adjacent to the it were demolished.
