The graphs illustrate Islip town centre in today and a developed plan for future. Overall, the main facilities are planning to remain mostly at their same place; however the main road will be closed to traffic. Today, the city center has a main road which lay from west to east. Shops are placed on north and south sides of this road. Below to the south side shops, there is a housing area which to be surrounded west and east by roads which west one for school and east one for park. In the future plan, the north side shops will be redeveloped to a bus station, a shopping centre and a car park. Near of them, there will be also a new housing area with a new road for using by residents. The side roads will be extended towards to each other and redeveloped to dual carriageway; thus, the city will be surrounded by the new main road.
