The line graphs show the production and demand for steel in million tonnes and the number of workers employed in the steel industry in the UK in 2010.

The line graphs represent data about how much steel is produced and demanded and the number of employed workers in this industry in the UK in 2010. Overall, the amount of steel produced was greater than that of demanded over the most period given. In terms of employees' number, there was a considerable downward trend. As can be seen from the graph, the figure for produced steel experienced a period of volatility, maintaining the same level at 4000 million between March and July, which was followed by peak at just under 5000 million and a steady drop until it reached about 8000 million in December. Meanwhile, the amount of actual demand had a moderate fluctuation between 2000 and 3000 million; however, it dipped at 0 and rose to 2000 in November and December, respectively. After having a peak at 5500 million in February, the number of workers had a dramatic decline until it reached 3000 million; however, the figure then levelled off and fluctuated at that level, which was followed by a steady drop until it reached 1000 million in December.
