With respect to the total visitors, which began exactly at 1 million in 2010 saw a steep climb of half a million after two years’ time, and interestingly, the visitors further had been surged at every point by 0. 5 million until it leveled off by the year 2015 and 2016. Furthermore, considerable upward trend was further seen till 3. 5 million which is more than thrice higher compared with the beginning. Turning to the Island and cruise based visitors collectively, although the beginning showed a stedy level of 0. 8 million the visitor interest was increased dramatically upto 1. 5 million and then it reached a plateau until 2015 and ended at the same level where it started in 2017. In contrast to the latter section, though it began from the least level in 2010 as 0. 3, the gradual increase caused to exceed the former visitors by mid 2015 and ended with top visitors by the end.
