In general, the number of fresh graduate students in the UK underwent a sharp rise to a peak before a less dramatic fall with an overall increasing trend while in the bar graph, a job requiring professional skills were the top preferences whereas the other department least opted. IN 1992, UK welcomed 16500 fresh graduates. The number of students was at the peak in the year 1007 with 19500. Although, after that, there was a dramatic drop in the number of students from 1997 to 2002. It can be seen that although the higher percentage is about 58% of fresh graduates in 1992 become professional workers, this job lost its popularity with only 43% people choosing this profession. IN the year 2002, experiencing an insignificant downward trend, the proportion of new graduate workers as manager and administrative was declined by well over 20% in 1992 and 18% in 1997 and remained stable till 2002. The popularity of clerical jobs was almost similar to manager jobs in the year 1997 and 2002. Sales and other department were least selected by students.
