The line graph illustrates the amount of good transported using for district type of transport in the United Kingdom from 1974 to 2002. The data is calibrated in million tonnes. Overall, the most eye-catching features of the line graph is that, road transportation and water transportation carried more quantity of good in the United Kingdom than the amount carried by pipelines and rails. Taking a closer view of line graph it can be clearly seen that, in 1974, 2 million tonne of product were transported on the road. From 1978 to 99, it proliferated significantly at 25 million tonnes. From 1994 to 2002, it dipped modestly by 5 million tonnes. Additionally, in 1974, 40 million tonnes of material transported on rail as compared to water which showed only 38 million tonne. From 1978 to 1998, there was a zig-zag trend in the transportation of product. Moving further, from 1974 to 2002, the water transportation were used more transporting at near around at 95 million tonnes. It showed fluctuation trend from 1978 to 2002.
