Additionally, the figure for 6 pm was highest for the majority of the given period. In January, the TV news viewing figures at 6 pm stood at the highest point, at about 4. 8 million viewers. By contrast, the lowest number of people was seen at 1 pm, at approximately 1. 2 million, which was four times as low as that at 6 pm. During the next 8 months, the figure for 6 pm witnessed a considerable fluctuation ranging from 4. 8 million to 3. 2 million and then stood at 3. 1 million at the end of the period. Meanwhile, the number of people paying attention to TV news at 1 pm remained stable at around 1. 2 million. Looking at the remaining hour frames, the second highest figure in the first period was reported at 9: 30 pm, which stood at 3. 1 million. In May, the TV news was on air at 11 pm appeared and the viewing figure at that time frame was 0. 2 million, which was significantly lower than that at the other hour frames. From May to August, the figure for 11 pm increased dramatically to a peak of 4 million, while that for 9: 30 pm witnessed a completely opposite trend and hit the bottom of approximately 1 million. Over the next 4 months, the number of viewers at 11 pm declined drastically to 0. 9 million whereas that at 9 pm experienced a recovery to 3 million by the end of the period.
