In 1979, the amount of beef eaten was the highest, with over 200 grams in comparison with roughly 50 grams that of fish. By contrast, the figures for lamb and chicken were the same, with nearly 150 grams. From that time to 1989, the amount of beef used fell to nearly 170 grams before increasing again to approximately 250 grams in 1984. After that, this figure saw a fluctuationto 1989, followed by a significant drop to about 100 grams in the end of the period. On the contrary, the consumption of chicken rose sharply and reached a peak in 2004, with about 250 grams. Meawhile, the figure for lamm decresed gradually to 50 grams in 2004 and the amount of fish stayed unchanged during the reasearch period.
