The given line chart depicts the quality of spreads which were consumed between 1981 and 2007. Overall, it is clearly seen that during the starting years butter was more popular as compared to margarine, whereas low fat and reduced spreads were not present on that time. By 1981, butter accounted for 144grams of consumption which was further considerably increased upto 158grams during 1986. Afterthat, this figure fell down to 100 grams in 1991 followed by gradual decrease and reached upto 50 grams until the last year. However, 90 grams of margarine was consumed in the initial year and its consumption reduced to 80 grams during 1986. Furthermore, this spread experienced small rise upto 100 grams and remained stable until 1996. In addition, its consumption quantity again decreased and touched the figures of 40 grams in 2007. On the other hand, low fat and reduced spreads were not consumed until 1991, but in 1996 only 10 grams of this spread was taken, afterthat this figure increased sharply till 2001 (82 grams) and reduced to 70 grams till the last mentioned year.
