It is seen that the number of people coming to Australia increased throughout the period. At the beginning of the period, the figure for Malaysia was the highest with about 5000 undergraduates compared with 2000 students for the rest of the countries. The index for Malaysia slightly rose and stood at about 10000 students in 1994, while the figures of the remaining countries after a slow start dramatically grew to approximately 9000.
