The diagram illustrates how an igloo is built from snow. The process involves five main steps, beginning with finding a hard-packed snow zone and finishing with covering the igloo with snow blocks. At the first stage of the process, after a surface of hard-packed is found, snow blocks are cut into ideal size by a snow saw. Large blocks are used to build the base and the one which is slightly too large is suitable for the last opening on top. Keep using a saw to smooth the edges of the blocks and placing them in the circle. After that, digging a hole to make an entrance. In the next subsequent step, on the outside of the igloo, the snow is packed into all crevices after shoveling. On the other hand, the inside surface is smoothed by hand. Any extra snow is also removed. Finally, a hole is dug in the shape of the entrance and which is covered by snow blocks.
