The graphs inform the reader about the registrations of students from abroad and domestic ones in Australian universitites from 2001 to 2010. To begin with, it is obvious that the number of those that began their studies was different in comparison with the total proportion. More specifally, the former increased from 20000 students to approximately 40000 students between 2001 and 2004, while an upward trend was noticed concerning the latter from 2001 to 2006. Moreover, an upward trend was observed from 2004 and for the next four years concerning the number of total students, while an increase was seen from 2006 to 2009 regarding the proportion of those who started their studies, reaching a plateau at 40000 students until the end of the decade. On the other hand, the number of local students differed concerning the active students and the total number of them. More particularly, the number of active students showed an increase from 2001 to 2002 and for the next six years, a downward trend was observed. Between 2008 and 2010, a decline was seen. On the other hand, the number of total students soared from 2001 to 2007, reaching a plateau at 60000 students between 2008 and 2010. All in all, it seems that the proportion of active students all over the years was less compared with the total in both cases, either overseas or local ones.
