The charts give information about university applications of foreign and domestic students in Australia over a decade. In addition, both graphs further seperate data into two types, namely, total and commencing scholars. Overall, it can be clearly seen that while a number of total enrollments rose over time for both local and overseas students, a figure of commencing in domestic type was steadied. Moreover, there was by far a huge quantity of Australian learners compared to other nationalities. In 2001, the numbers of overall and commencing foreign students stood estimately at 20, 000 and 10, 000, respectively. Ten years later, there was a huge inflated in a total enrolments, which was almost 60, 000. Meanwhile, the commencing rate hike moderately to 40, 000. On the other hand, the figures of total and commencing local students were 400, 000 and 200, 000, sequentially in 2001. Consquently, the overall enrollment rate jump relatively to 600, 000, whereas the rate of commencing leveled off for a decade.
