The graphs below show the enrolments of overseas students and local students in Australian universities over a ten year period. B1qp
From the graphs, we can know although the enrolments of overseas students much lower than local students, the speed of increasing international students rapidly. The same as the commencing numbers, international students start from less than 20, 000, but the numbers increased more than two times within 10 years. Unlike the local students, they were quite stable and the numbers were around 200, 000. Even although the cost of studying overseas is more expensive than studying in a democratic university, many parents still like to send their children to study in other countries like Australian universities. It demonstrates that compared with one decade ago, people's income was increasing across the world. The parents pay more attention to education, and more parents like to send their children to study abroad to get a higher education and expand their children's horizons if they could. Studying abroad is not only getting a better education but also let children learn how to live independently and thinking independly.
