The graph shows the average temperatures and rainfall amounts for each month of the year in Kolkata. RNNAG
The graph shows the average temperatures and rainfall amounts for each month of the year in Kolkata. In general, it can be seen that the temperature peaks in May and bottoms in January with relatively little variation. As for the precipitation, it varies greatly throughout the year, with July and December as the wettest and driest months respectively. The lowest monthly average temperature is 20 degrees Celcius in January, which gradually increases until it peaks in May with 31 degrees Celcius. The temperature starts to decline very slowly in June until October when it reaches 27 degrees Celcius, and continues to fall with a higher pace until January. As for the rainfall averages, it remains relatively low (100 milimeters or lower) from January to May and see a rapid increase until July, when it peaks at almost 350 milimeters. The rainfall amount stays quite high (250 milimeters or higher) until September, then quickly declines until December with around 10 milimeters. As for the correlation between temperature and rainfall, it looks like the coolest months of the year are also the driest (November to March). The temperature starts to cool down a bit in June, which seems to be influenced by the high amount of rainfall.
