The line graph demonstrates the change of per person’s average carbon dioxide emission amount in four different countries between 1967 and 2007. Units are measured in tonnes in the graph.
Overall, Italy and Portugal’s emission amount displayed increase while the United Kingdom and Sweeden’s numbers decreased between 1967 and 2007. Although The united kingdom showed a decline, it had the highest emission during the given years. Besides this, the lowest emission amount was observed in Portugal.
In terms of two countries’ emission which dropped, at the beginning of the time Sweeden started almost 9 tonnes and increased just over 10 which it’s peak point in 1977, then it showed significant decline until slightly below 6 in 2007. In 1967, The United Kingdom had approximately 11 tonnes of emissions which fell steadily and reached just over 8 tonnes.
When looking at the increases, ın 1967 Portugal had the lowest emission amount compared with other countries with nearly 1 tonne per person. Italy started around more than 5 times emission than Portugal and both countries displayed similar structure climbed. In 2007, while Italy reached slightly below 8 tonnes and Portugal came to the same emission amount with Sweeden with almost 5 tonnes.
