The graph illustrates the usage of Twitter by different age groups in the USA during the period from November 2010 to May 2013. Generally speaking, the trend of Twitter use is upward for each age group, with a faster increase for people from 18 to 29 and from 30 to 49. The percentage for the first ones jumped more than twofold from 14% to 30%. A similar pattern was seen for the age group from 30 to 49, the percent of Twitter use increased approximately from 8% to 16%. Similarly, as regards people from the age of 50 to 64, the amount of them using Twitter rose from 6% to 13%. By contrast, the percent of people from the age of 65 and older fluctuated, then remained flat from February 2012 till August 2012 afterwards dipped and reached 5% by May 2013 increasing only for 1% throughout the period considered.
