Overall, the percentage of households in rented accommodation was high as compare to households in owned accommodation between the year 1918 and 2011 in England and Wales, while number of owned households increased dramatically from the year 1918 to 2011. It is quite clear from the graph that, percentage rate of households in rented accommodation accounted was under 80 % in the year 1953. It started decreases until the year 1961 of about 70%. After that from the year 1953 to 2001, it has been decreased up to about 30%. At the end 2011, it was accounted about 40 %. Whereas, households in owned accommodation in England and Wales found nearly 20% in the year 1918. It has increased drastically up to about 70 % in the year 2001, while in the year 2011, it got slightly decreased to 65%.
