The line graph illustrates the amount of goods shared in the UK between 1974 and 2002 by four dissimilar modes of transport. Overall, the transporting by road, water and pipeline increased slowly over the period given, while rail it stable. At the start of the period transporting by the road was the most popular it was about 70 tonnes, which rose steeply from 1974 to 2002, following that in the final years sharing by road and water became the most widely used. Obviously the amount of goods which transported by road it began at around 70 tonnes and then flactuated till 1994 before peaking dramatically to about 95 tonnes in the last year. Like wise approximately 39 tonnes of goods were shared in the first year after which the figure improved considerably anout 55 tonnes in 1982 till 1990 stablezed after dropping to a low suddenly increased to about 65 tonnes in 2002. At the start of the period transporting by rail was 40 tonnes during the period fluctuated slightly in the 2002 sharing stayed the same. On other hand the transporting by pipeline only started in 1974 at about 5 tonnes. This figure which reached a high of just over 20 tonnes in 1994 till the ending of period transporting stayed stable.
