Overall, there was an increase in poverty during all periods for all groups. After 2000 the numbers of poverty noticeably increased for whole types of poverty.
In 1970, just over 5 million people in small metros lived in poverty and this number showed just under10 million in 2015. The people who were situated in suburbs in 1970 expressed under 8 million people, however, this group of poverty rose to 16 million in 2015. And in cities, almost 8 million people were living in poverty conditions in the starting year. Until 2000, the rate increased slowly, but in the following years, this rate dramatically increased by more than 12 million people in 2015.
At the beginning of this period, there were more than 8 million people in rural areas lived in the poorest condition. Unfortunately, unlike other community types of poverty, this group of poverty decreased in 2000, however, there were just under 8 million people in 2015 and this rate kept almost the same rate for this period.
