The given line graph illustrates the number of inquiries made to the tourist information office through various means of communication, between January and June 2001. It is evident that the inquiries made in person and by telephone showed an upward trend, whereas those made by email or letter showed a downward trend. As can be seen from the graph, there are three channels through which inquiries were made, namely- in person, by telephone, or by email or letter. Interestingly, the number of inquiries made in person increased continually over the period from 400 inquiries in January to 1200 inquiries in June. Telephone inquiries at 800 in January and stabilized at this number till April, after which telephone inquiries increased and reached 1100 by June. The email or letter inquiries stood at approximately 600 in January and remained at almost the same level till March, but after that deceased moderately and touched an all-time low of 200 by June. Overall, it is lucid that in person inquiries became the most popular within the given period of 5 months.
