In the year 1980, both Countries recorded the literacy rates with Country X having an edge over the Country Y with a difference of 10% at 30% literacy rate for Country X and 20% literacy rate for Country Y respectively. It gradually increased in the year 1990, with the literacy rate of 40% for Country X and a slight increase for the Country Y at 28%.
