The line graph compares the amount of fish, lamb, chicken and beef which were consumed in a European country from 1979 to 2004. Units are measured in grams. Overall, the consumption of beef, lamb and fish fell down over the period shown, while for chicken, it rose. At start of the period, chicken was the most popular item, which remained most popular over the 25 years. However, fish was the least consumed item to 2004 from 1979. With regards to the amount of chicken consumed, it began at around 220 grams and then peaked at 250 grams with a slight fluctuation between 1779 and 2004. Similarly, chicken was almost the highest consumption over the given period, while it was replaced by beef in only around 1989. On the other hand, the consumption lamb and beef declined significantly from 150 grams and just below 50 grams to approximately 60 grams and 110 grams respectively. There was also a gradual decrease in terms of consuming fish over the 25 years, from just above 50 grams to just below 50 grams.
