The line chart compares the daily average number of transportation for each different method, namely; car, bus and train in UK from 1970 to 2030. The figures are given in millions and can be split into two periods, from 1970 until now and the prediction to 2030. Overall, it can be clearly seen that car and train has become popular category of transportation and are expected to be more popular in the future whereas bus has experienced a downward trend and expected to decline in the future. To begin with, car was the most used transportation method in 1970, stood approximately at 5 and then it has experienced a sharp rate rise by 2. 5 until 2020. Likewise, the number of commuters by train show a similar momentum to car, initially stood at 2 in 1970. Consequently, there has been a significant jump in the figure by 2 in 2020. On the other hand, traveling by bus has become less popular and has plunged from 4 to 3 between 1970 and 2020.
