The given line graph shows the total grain harvested area around the world in milllion hectares from 1950 to 1996 and the reasons why the amount changed. Here the "X" axis represents time and the "Y" axis illustrates the land area in million hectares. A glance at the graph reveals that amount of land increased during the period of thirty years from 1950 to 1980 and this amount went down in the next remain years. The figures which depicts the harvested area always oscillated throughout the period. As it is presented in the diagram that in 1950, amount of land were nearly 600 million hectares. And due to USSR virgin land program, this number went up slightly in many next years. However, it is conspicuous that the line illustrating data waves ceaselessly, commencing from nearly 1960. In between 1970 ang 1980 the world grain prices reached a double cost compare to the initiation. This palpitation still kept on but there was a downward tendency after 1980 and the reasons why was retrenchment.
