The graph below provides data on the percentage of different gender settling in various region of world and how much their literacy rate is for each group. As it’s obvious the vertical axis indicates for literacy percentage and the horizontal shows genders and living area. By a fast look it’s feasible to understand for both Central Asia and Central/Eastern Europe both male and female have the highest equal percentage of one hundred. And the fife remained regions shows a different between men and women, which in all cases men have the higher rate. As going through details, South and West Africa is owning the highest difference between these two groups although Sub-Saharan is the owner of least percentage literacy rate which is 70% and 60% for men and women respectively. As an overall, its easily understood that the more wealthy the region is, the higher literacy rate is illustrated in society, in such a way, eastern and central Asian countries and European ones’ rate of literacy is a firm proof to this statement, on the other hand, the Sub-Saharan African countries and the ones located in west and south of Asia are showing lower rates of literacy as a result of poverty.
