The line graph illustrates the percentage of women smokers in Asia and Europe between 1950 and 2000. It can be seen from the graph that the figure for all areas experienced upward trends after the period surveyed. Besides, the figure for European Women was higher than Asian Women in all the years. There was a gradual increase in the percentage of women smokers in Asia, while the figure for European Women become turbulent. From that year onward, the percentage of women smokers in Asia steadily grew to nearly 13 percent in the first 30 years from 1950, then the figure for Asian Women rise noticeably to nearly 17 percent in the last year.
