The charts compare global water use in 3 different sectors over 20th century and water consumption in Brazil and Congo in 2000. In terms of water usage worldwide, it is clear that it rose significantly in all 3 sectors over the period shown. Besides, water consumption in agriculture remained the highest while that figure for domestic use was the smallest. In the second graph, another striking feature is that all numbers for population, irrigated land and water consumption in Brazil were higher than that of Congo. In 1900, the amount of water use for agricultural purposes was about 500 km3 which was much higher that that of industrial use and domestic use, about 100 and 50 km3, respectively. The year 2000 experienced a considerable grow in agricultural water usage to over 3000 km3. While the amount of water used in industry and homes went up moderately and ended up around 1300 km3 and 500 km3 in respective order. In the year 200, the population of Brazil and Congo was 176 million and 5. 2 million respectively.
