The given plans illustrate how a park has changed from the first day of its establishment to today.
Overall, the park has altered significantly and almost all structures have been knocked down or replaced by new ones.
In 1920, the park was opened with the name Grand Park. There was a fountain in the middle of the map and on the left side of it, there was a stage, which was provided for musicians. You could sit in the seats, which were located all around the park. There were three rose gardens. Two of them were located next to Arnold Avenue. One of them was located next to Eldon Street and across to the stage. There was also a glasshouse built up on the right side of the Eldon Street entrance. In the north-east corner of the park, there was a pond for water plants.
Over time, the park has seen many changes. Firstly, an entrance for an underground car park has been added, which has located in the south-east corner of the park. Upon this entrance, a water feature has been structured, after the glasshouse has been removed. One of the rose gardens has been demolished, while one of them has been replaced by a cafe. In the center of the park, the fountain has been knocked down and a new rose garden added with many seats. However, other seats of the park have gone. The pond area has been replaced by a play area where children can enjoy. On the left hand of the Rose Garden, an amphitheater has been established for concerts.
In spite of the considerable alters, the park is still open for public benefit.
